Air France Baggage Allowance

With Air France, your hand baggage allowance and weight restrictions depend on your travel class:

• Economy: 1 hand baggage item + 1 personal item (Combined weight limit of 12 kg (26.4 lbs))
• Premium, Business, Première: 2 hand baggage items + 1 personal item (Combined weight limit of 18 kg (40 lbs))

If your hand baggage doesn’t meet Air France’s maximum dimensions (55 x 35 x 25 cm/21.7 x 13.8 x 9.9 in), it may be placed in the hold, and additional fees may apply. Avoid the surprise and ship your bags with Nannybag! This will enable you travel hands free and get your luggage back upon arrival.

Certain items don’t count as part of your baggage allowance. You can bring:

• A jacket, coat, or umbrella
• Duty-free purchases

Air France’s liquid restrictions can also catch travelers off guard. If you're carrying liquids, pastes, or creams, ensure they’re in containers of 100 ml or less, packed in a 1-liter transparent bag.

Your checked bags can measure up to 158 cm/62.2 in. (total of height + width + depth, including pockets and wheels).

If your bag is larger than 158 cm/62.2 in. but under 300 cm/118 in., you’ll need to pay an extra fee at the airport. For bags over 300 cm/118 in., visit the Air France Cargo website.

• Economy and Premium: Up to 23 kg/50 lb per bag.
• Business and Première: Up to 32 kg/70.5 lb per bag.

If your bag exceeds the weight limit (but stays under 32 kg/70.5 lb), you’ll need to pay an additional fee at the airport.
